Yi started his career after Cornell in product engineering at GE Transportation developing self driving freight trains before moving to Boston to attend HBS. While at HBS, Yi decided that he was going to shift from working at a 300,000 person company to a startup called Toast with 4 people working out of a basement in Boston. Yi was drawn to the vision of enriching the food experience for all through the mission of helping SMB restaurant customers by democratizing restaurant technology for all.
