"I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: 'We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal." As we start 2022, and head into a day celebrating Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., we revisit the great truths King spoke about on that summer day in 1963, and how disconnected we are from that message today. The indictment of the woke movement is that America is the problem. King offered up America as the solution. While King's message was to reach up to our founding principles, the Left continues rhetoric and actions towards tearing them down. Instead, let us honor King by seeing America as he presented it then – as embodying the ideals of a free nation under God.
