It starts around three or four. Nothing bad is technically happening. And yet the chest has that feeling. The one that arrives every Sunday like a standing appointment nobody agreed to.
People call it the Sunday scaries, like it’s a seasonal latte.
What it actually is: the nervous system trying to run the entire week in advance while we are still in socks.
Sunday currently thinks it’s responsible for our whole life. It is not.
This episode is for the 4pm tightness.
We’re not going to suggest a Sunday routine that changes everything. We’re going to do something much smaller and considerably ruder to perfectionism: demote Sunday to exactly two jobs.
WHAT THE TWO JOBS ARE
Close the week we actually had. Open exactly one day ahead.
That’s it. Five minutes with three short lists. Then Monday planned only until lunchtime. Not the whole week, not the colour-coded overhaul, not the new version of ourselves we’ve been meaning to become since January.
Just three things that need to happen before noon, and one small kindness done tonight so Monday morning isn’t a surprise.
Last week is closed. Tomorrow morning is not a mystery.
