Saint Bonaventure, the Seraphic Doctor, teaches that creation, the human soul, and sacred doctrine must all lead us beyond themselves to Jesus Christ crucified. In an age overwhelmed by distraction and information, his witness calls the Church back to recollection, contemplation, and the recovery of her supernatural centre: Christ, whose wounds are the doorway into the life of God.
