On the Feast of St. John Before the Latin Gate, we recall the Apostle’s miraculous deliverance from martyrdom and his enduring witness through suffering. As the Church enters the papal conclave, we pray for a Pope who, like St. John, will embrace the chalice of Christ—not seeking worldly honour but bearing faithful witness amid trial. May we too accept the Cross with love, standing firm in truth and prayer as the Church awaits her new shepherd.
