[Feria IV of Sunday XII Post Pentecost]
The parable of the Good Samaritan reveals Christ as the stranger who heals Adam’s wounds with the oil and wine of the Sacraments, carrying us to the inn of His Church. The Law could not save, but the Spirit quickens, giving us true charity that loves for God’s sake. To “go and do likewise” is to imitate Christ’s mercy, binding wounds, bearing burdens, and running without stumbling toward the promises of eternal life.
