Good morning, Houston! It's your friendly neighborhood meteorologist here with a chilly winter weather update that'll make you want to grab your warmest blanket and a hot cup of cocoa.

We've got a Cold Weather Advisory and Winter Storm Watch in effect, so buckle up for a wintery ride! Tonight, expect mostly clear skies with temperatures dropping to a frosty 32 degrees. Those north winds will be whipping around at 15 to 20 miles per hour, with gusts up to 30 miles per hour - so definitely jacket and scarf weather, folks!

Sunday will be sunny but cold, with highs barely reaching 43 degrees. Wind chill values will hover between 20 and 30 degrees, so dress in layers! Those breezy north winds will continue to keep things crisp.

Monday is looking increasingly cloudy with a high near 39 degrees, and then things get interesting. Monday night brings a 60 percent chance of snow showers and sleet, potentially accumulating less than half an inch. Tuesday continues the wintry theme with snow and sleet before noon.

The rest of the week looks like a rollercoaster of winter temperatures. We'll see mostly sunny days with temperatures gradually climbing from the low thirties to near 50 degrees by Friday, and a mild weekend with temperatures approaching 60 degrees.
