Good morning, Houston! This is your weather wake-up call, and boy, do we have a chilly tale to tell.
We're under an Extreme Cold Warning, so bundle up tight! Overnight temperatures are going to plunge down to a bone-chilling 20 degrees, with absolutely no wind to speak of. Talk about a cold night!
Wednesday brings some relief with plenty of sunshine and temperatures climbing to a crisp 43 degrees. Winds will be calm, then shifting to a gentle southern breeze around 5 miles per hour in the afternoon.
Wednesday night gets partly cloudy with temperatures dropping to around 31 degrees. That southern wind will whisper around 5 miles per hour before going completely still.
Thursday looks mostly sunny and slightly warmer, hitting near 49 degrees with a light northern wind around 5 miles per hour. Thursday night will be mostly clear, again dipping to around 31 degrees.
Friday stays sunny and steady at 49 degrees, with Friday night warming up slightly to 37 degrees.
Weekend forecast gets interesting! Saturday has a small 20 percent chance of afternoon showers, mostly cloudy with temperatures reaching 57 degrees. Saturday night increases shower chances to 50 percent, staying cloudy and mild at 53 degrees.
Sunday looks wet with likely showers and possible thunderstorms. Expect cloudy skies and temperatures climbing to 65 degrees with a 70 percent chance of precipitation.
The early next week continues the rainy trend with scattered showers and thunderstorms, keeping things cool and cloudy.
