Good morning, Houston! This is your weather update for Friday, February 14th, bringing you all the atmospheric action you need to know.

Overnight, we're looking at a mostly cloudy sky with temperatures dipping down to a chilly 43 degrees Fahrenheit. Expect a gentle northeast wind blowing at 5 to 10 miles per hour, so keep that light jacket handy.

Friday's forecast is keeping things interesting with a 30 percent chance of showers, most likely between 1 pm and 5 pm. Temperatures will climb to a modest 57 degrees Fahrenheit, with that same northeast breeze hanging around.

Things get more exciting Friday night. We've got a slight chance of showers before 8 pm, then another round potentially rolling in after 3 am. Temperatures will actually warm up to around 68 degrees Fahrenheit by 5 am, with winds shifting from east to south and gusting up to 20 miles per hour.

Saturday is looking like a wet one, folks! Expect a 60 percent chance of showers and possible thunderstorms, especially after noon. Temperatures will reach a comfortable 74 degrees Fahrenheit with south winds around 10 to 15 miles per hour and gusts up to 25 miles per hour.

The weekend cools down quickly. Saturday night will start mostly cloudy before clearing, with temperatures dropping to 42 degrees Fahrenheit. Sunday brings us a beautiful sunny day with a high near 56 degrees Fahrenheit.

Looking ahead, we've got Washington's Birthday promising sunshine and temperatures around 60 degrees Fahrenheit. Tuesday might bring another round of showers with a 70 percent chance of precipitation.
