Good morning, Houston! This is your friendly neighborhood meteorologist with your latest forecast.

We've got a Fire Weather Watch in effect, so let's break down what's happening in the Lone Star State.

Tonight, expect some patchy fog rolling in with cloudy skies. Temperatures will drop to a mild 66 degrees Fahrenheit, with south winds around 10 miles per hour and gusts up to 20 miles per hour. Keep those light jackets handy!

Friday brings mostly cloudy conditions with temperatures climbing to a warm 85 degrees Fahrenheit. Those south winds will be kicking up to 15 miles per hour with gusts reaching 30 miles per hour - perfect for keeping things interesting.

Friday night has a slight 20 percent chance of showers after 1 am, with some patchy fog between midnight and 2 am. Temperatures will settle around 63 degrees Fahrenheit.

Saturday starts with a tiny chance of thunderstorms before 7 am. We'll see mostly cloudy skies in the morning, gradually clearing with a high near 80 degrees Fahrenheit. West winds will range from 5 to 15 miles per hour.

The weekend looks pretty sweet with Sunday bringing sunny skies and temperatures around 75 degrees Fahrenheit. Monday and Tuesday continue the sunny trend with highs in the upper 70s.

By Wednesday, we're looking at partly sunny conditions with temperatures around 80 degrees Fahrenheit, and Thursday wraps up with a sunny day and temperatures near 70 degrees Fahrenheit.
