Good morning, Kansas City! This is your weather update for Friday, January thirty-first.
Get ready for a wet start to your day. We're looking at rain throughout the overnight hours and continuing into the morning, with patchy fog keeping things mysterious. Temperatures will hover around thirty-nine degrees, with west winds blowing around eleven miles per hour. Expect about a tenth to a quarter inch of precipitation to dampen your morning commute.
By Friday afternoon, the rain will taper off, with just a slight chance of drizzle. Temperatures will climb to a chilly forty-eight degrees, with winds shifting from west to northwest and potentially gusting up to twenty-five miles per hour. So, you might want to grab that light jacket!
The weekend's looking a bit more promising. Saturday brings partly sunny skies and temperatures reaching fifty-one degrees. Winds will be dancing from the south, with gusts up to twenty-six miles per hour. Sunday looks even better, with temperatures climbing to a pleasant fifty-eight degrees.
Next week starts off cool but stable. Monday will be mostly sunny with highs near fifty degrees, and Tuesday will cool down with temperatures in the low forties.
Looking ahead, we're expecting mostly cloudy conditions with temperatures fluctuating between the twenties and forties. Typical Missouri winter weather, folks!
