Hey weather watchers! We've got a chilly forecast coming up for Kansas City, so bundle up and get ready for some winter action!
Tonight, expect mostly cloudy skies with temperatures dropping to around 25 degrees Fahrenheit. We'll see a light east wind keeping things crisp.
Monday brings a slight chance of snow after 11 in the morning. Temperatures will nudge up to near 38 degrees Fahrenheit with a light east to southeast wind around 5 to 9 miles per hour. There's only a 20 percent chance of precipitation, so don't cancel your plans just yet.
Monday night is when things get interesting. We're looking at a 50 percent chance of snow, with temperatures dipping down to around 22 degrees Fahrenheit. Expect east northeast winds between 8 to 13 miles per hour, with gusts up to 21 miles per hour.
Tuesday continues the winter theme with a 30 percent chance of snow and a high near 27 degrees Fahrenheit. Northeast winds will pick up to around 14 miles per hour with gusts up to 24 miles per hour.
The real snowmaker comes Tuesday night into Wednesday. We're talking an 80 percent chance of snow, potentially accumulating 1 to 3 inches. Temperatures will drop to around 17 degrees Fahrenheit.
Wednesday looks like a full snow day with a 100 percent chance of precipitation and highs near 21 degrees Fahrenheit. By Thursday, we'll see some sunshine with mostly sunny skies and a high near 21 degrees Fahrenheit.
As we head into the weekend, expect more chances of snow and temperatures hovering around the low to mid 30s.
