Hey weather watchers! This is your weather report for Kansas City, Missouri.
Buckle up, because winter is making a dramatic entrance! We've got a Winter Storm Warning in effect, and Mother Nature is about to drop some serious snow.
Tonight, expect mostly cloudy skies with temperatures dipping down to around 25 degrees. Winds will be howling from the northeast at around 11 miles per hour, with gusts up to 20 miles per hour. So, definitely keep that heavy coat handy!
Tuesday brings a slight chance of snow after 5 pm. Temperatures will struggle to reach a high of 29 degrees, with those persistent northeast winds blowing 13 to 15 miles per hour.
But hold onto your hats, because Tuesday night is when things get real! Snow is expected after midnight, with temperatures dropping to around 21 degrees. We're looking at a 90 percent chance of precipitation, with a potential snowfall of 1 to 3 inches.
Wednesday is the main event - heavy snow is on the menu! Temperatures will hover around 24 degrees, with a 100 percent chance of snowfall. Expect 4 to 8 inches of the white stuff, folks. Those northeast winds will continue to blow around 14 miles per hour.
The rest of the week looks like a wild winter rollercoaster. Wednesday night will be partly cloudy with temperatures plummeting to 4 degrees. Thursday brings sunshine and a high of 22 degrees. Friday warms up slightly to 38 degrees with mostly cloudy skies.
By Saturday, we're looking at a chance of rain and snow, with temperatures around 38 degrees.
