Good morning, Kansas City! Bundle up because winter is making a serious comeback.
We've got a Winter Storm Warning in effect, so let's break down what's heading our way. Overnight, expect snow with temperatures dropping to a chilly 19 degrees. Those north northeast winds will be gusting up to 18 miles per hour, and we're looking at about 1 to 2 inches of snowfall.
Wednesday continues the winter wonderland theme. Snow is expected, mainly before 3 PM, with temperatures barely reaching 21 degrees. Wind chills will make it feel even colder, ranging between negative 7 and 3 degrees. Another 1 to 3 inches of snow is possible, so keep those snow shovels ready!
Wednesday night brings gradual clearing with temperatures plummeting to around 6 degrees. Those northwest winds will keep things crisp, with gusts up to 23 miles per hour.
Thursday offers a bit of relief with sunny skies and a high near 24 degrees. The weekend looks varied with chances of rain and snow on Saturday, and temperatures fluctuating from the teens to the upper 30s.
By Sunday, we'll see mostly sunny conditions with a high of just 17 degrees, and Monday brings another potential chance of snow.
