Good morning, Kansas City! This is your weather wake-up call for a seriously chilly weekend.

Bundle up, folks, because winter is definitely making its presence known. We're looking at temperatures that'll make you want to hibernate. Overnight, expect a chance of flurries before 5 am, with temperatures dropping to a bone-chilling 10 degrees. Wind chill will make it feel like negative 3 to 2 degrees, with northwest winds howling around 17 miles per hour and gusts up to 28 miles per hour.

Sunday's not much warmer, with a high near 19 degrees. Wind chill will hover between negative 7 and 3 degrees. Northwest winds will continue to whip around at 11 to 17 miles per hour.

Washington's Birthday is looking cloudy with a chance of snow, mainly before noon. Temperatures will crawl up to a whopping 20 degrees with wind chills between zero and 8 degrees.

Monday night brings the real winter drama - snow likely after midnight, with temperatures plummeting to zero degrees. We could see one to two inches of fresh snow accumulation.

Tuesday continues the winter wonderland theme, with more snow and temperatures struggling to reach a high of 6 degrees. Tuesday night might see a few more snow flurries with temperatures dropping to negative 4 degrees.

By Wednesday and Thursday, we'll see some partly sunny skies, but don't get too excited - temperatures will remain cold, with highs around 8 to 10 degrees.

A bit of relief comes Friday and Saturday, with temperatures climbing to 18 and 30 degrees respectively.
