Good morning, Kansas City! This is your weather forecast for Wednesday, February 19th, 2025.
Bundle up, because we're diving into a deep freeze that'll make your teeth chatter! We've got a Cold Weather Advisory in effect, so let's break down what Mother Nature has in store.
Overnight, expect a chilly dance with flurries after 4 am. Temperatures will plummet to negative 3 degrees Fahrenheit, with wind chill values between negative 15 and negative 20 degrees. That north wind will be howling around 11 miles per hour, with gusts up to 20 miles per hour - so grab your warmest coat!
Wednesday brings more of the same frosty fun. Flurries might make an appearance before noon, with temperatures barely climbing to a high of 8 degrees Fahrenheit. Wind chill will hover between negative 10 and negative 20 degrees. Northwest winds will gust up to 20 miles per hour, so it's definitely hot cocoa and fuzzy sock weather.
The cold continues Wednesday night with mostly clear skies and temperatures dropping to a bone-chilling negative 12 degrees Fahrenheit. Wind chill values will range between negative 15 and negative 25 degrees.
Thursday looks sunny but still frigid, with a high near 11 degrees Fahrenheit and wind chill values between negative 17 and negative 27 degrees.
The good news? We're looking at a warming trend this weekend. By Saturday, we'll see temperatures climbing to 37 degrees, and Sunday brings a positively tropical 49 degrees Fahrenheit. Monday will peak near 59 degrees - talk about a temperature rollercoaster!
