Good morning, Kansas City! This is your weather forecast for the week ahead, straight from the National Weather Service.

Let's kick things off with tonight: We're looking at a clear sky with temperatures dropping to a cool 41 degrees. Expect a south wind around 10 miles per hour, with gusts potentially reaching 20 miles per hour.

Monday brings increasing clouds and a high near 59 degrees. Those south winds will be dancing between 10 to 16 miles per hour, with gusts up to 26 miles per hour.

Monday night gets interesting! We've got a 80 percent chance of rain and thunderstorms rolling in after 1 am. Temperatures will hover around 53 degrees, with southeast winds potentially gusting up to 28 miles per hour. Expect between a tenth and quarter inch of rainfall.

Tuesday continues the wet theme with a 90 percent chance of rain and possible thunderstorms. Temperatures climb to near 60 degrees. By afternoon, those winds will shift to the southwest.

Hold onto your hats Wednesday, because it's going to be windy! We'll see partly sunny skies with a high near 39 degrees. Wednesday night brings mostly clear conditions with temperatures dropping to a chilly 25 degrees.

Thursday offers a partly sunny reprieve with temperatures reaching 49 degrees. Friday looks mostly sunny and warmer, hitting 57 degrees.

Weekend forecast? Saturday will be mostly sunny with a high of 51 degrees, and Sunday looks absolutely gorgeous with sunny skies and temperatures climbing to 62 degrees.
