Good morning, Minneapolis! This is your weather wake-up call for Wednesday, January 8th, 2025.
Bundle up, because winter is definitely making its presence known! We're starting the day with a crisp overnight low around 4 degrees Fahrenheit, with a gentle west northwest wind around 5 miles per hour. Think of it as nature's way of saying "good morning" with a chilly high five!
As we move into Wednesday, expect a mostly sunny day with temperatures climbing to a brisk 19 degrees Fahrenheit. The wind will start west and then playfully shift to the south in the afternoon, like a meteorological dance move.
Wednesday night brings mostly cloudy skies and a temperature drop to around 14 degrees Fahrenheit, with a soft south wind keeping things interesting.
Thursday is where things get a bit more exciting! We've got a 50 percent chance of snow after noon, with temperatures reaching a slightly warmer 27 degrees Fahrenheit. Expect cloudy conditions and a wind that can't make up its mind - starting south and switching to west in the afternoon. We might see a light dusting of less than one inch of snow.
The weekend looks partly sunny with temperatures hovering in the low 20s, perfect for those brave souls who love a crisp Minnesota winter day.
By Monday and Tuesday, we'll be looking at mostly sunny skies but temperatures will take a serious nosedive, with highs barely scraping 12 degrees Fahrenheit.
