Good morning, Minneapolis! This is your weather update for Wednesday, January 15th, 2025.

Bundle up, folks, because we're diving into a serious deep freeze! Overnight temperatures are plummeting to negative 2 degrees Fahrenheit, with wind chill values making it feel like negative 10. Those south winds are keeping things interesting at around 5 miles per hour.

Wednesday's looking like a wintery mix of excitement. Expect increasing clouds and a high near 27 degrees Fahrenheit. Wind chills will hover around negative 12, with southwest winds between 5 to 15 miles per hour and gusts up to 25 miles per hour. There's a 40 percent chance of snow and freezing rain after 2 in the afternoon, so keep those windshield scrapers ready!

The nighttime forecast brings a 40 percent chance of snow before 9 in the evening. Temperatures will rise to around 30 degrees Fahrenheit by 3 in the morning, with west winds blowing 10 to 15 miles per hour.

Thursday stays mostly cloudy with a high near 33 degrees Fahrenheit. Friday warms up slightly to 38 degrees Fahrenheit, but hold onto your hats because those winds will be dancing around.

The weekend? Prepare for a serious cold snap. Saturday's high will barely reach 11 degrees Fahrenheit, and Sunday's looking even chillier with a high of negative 3 degrees Fahrenheit. Martin Luther King Day continues the arctic trend.
