Good morning, Minneapolis! I'm your weather wizard, bringing you the scoop on the chilly dance of temperatures we're about to experience.

Tonight, we're looking at a mostly cloudy evening with temperatures hovering around a crisp 29 degrees. Expect west northwest winds blowing 10 to 15 miles per hour, so bundle up, folks!

Thursday brings us a slightly warmer day with temperatures climbing to near 34 degrees. Northwest winds will start around 5 to 15 miles per hour, then switch to a west southwest breeze in the afternoon. Think light jacket weather.

Things get interesting Thursday night. Temperatures will dip to around 26 degrees with south winds picking up to 10 to 15 miles per hour after midnight. We might see wind gusts up to 30 miles per hour, so hold onto your hats!

Friday continues the cloudy trend with temperatures reaching near 38 degrees. Expect a breezy day with south southwest winds between 10 to 20 miles per hour. Wind gusts could hit 35 miles per hour, so it's definitely a day to secure those loose outdoor items.

The weekend? Brace yourselves for a serious cold snap. Saturday's high will be a bone-chilling 9 degrees with northwest winds around 15 miles per hour. Saturday night drops to a teeth-chattering negative 10 degrees.

Sunday and Martin Luther King Day continue the arctic adventure with temperatures struggling to reach negative 4 and negative 6 degrees respectively. Northwest winds will keep things extra crisp.

By Tuesday, we'll see a slight warm-up to 7 degrees with some sunshine, and Wednesday nudges up to a balmy 23 degrees.
