Good morning, Minneapolis! This is your weather wake-up call, and boy, are we in for a chilly ride.
Let's talk arctic blast, folks. Right now, we're looking at temperatures that'll make your eyelashes freeze. Overnight, we're dipping down to negative 12 degrees, with wind chill values making it feel like negative 25. Bundle up like you're preparing for an expedition to the North Pole!
Martin Luther King Day is bringing us a balmy negative 6 degrees with wind chill values plummeting to negative 28. West northwest winds will be blowing at 5 to 15 miles per hour, just to add that extra bite of cold.
Monday night continues our deep freeze party with partly cloudy skies and temperatures dropping to negative 18. Wind chill will make it feel like negative 34. Perfect night for hot cocoa and thick blankets!
Tuesday brings a slight warm-up with increasing clouds and a high near 7 degrees. Wind chill will still be hanging out around negative 32, so don't put away those winter layers just yet.
By Wednesday, we'll see a more merciful high near 25 degrees, and Thursday keeps things cool with a high of 16 degrees.
Looking ahead to the weekend, we're expecting partly sunny conditions with temperatures hovering around 25 degrees.
