Good morning, Minneapolis! Bundle up because winter is giving us quite the performance today.
We've got a Winter Weather Advisory in effect, so let's break down what Mother Nature has planned for us. Overnight, expect snow with accumulations between 1 to 3 inches. Temperatures will dip to around 20 degrees, with north northeast winds blowing around 10 miles per hour.
Monday continues the winter wonderland theme. Snow will fall before 10 in the morning, with potential flurries afterward. High temperatures will barely reach 24 degrees, so keep those layers handy. North winds will continue at around 10 miles per hour.
Monday night gets seriously chilly with temperatures plummeting to 2 degrees. Wind chill values could drop to negative 11 degrees, so if you're heading out, dress like an Arctic explorer.
Tuesday stays mostly cloudy with a high near 14 degrees, and Wednesday brings more snow likely after noon. We're looking at temperatures around 27 degrees with a chance of precipitation at 70 percent.
Thursday brings partly sunny skies with a high of 17 degrees and west winds potentially gusting up to 30 miles per hour. Friday offers a slight chance of snow, and Saturday looks like another snowy day with temperatures around 28 degrees.
