Here's the weather report script:
Good morning, Minneapolis! Let's dive into what Mother Nature has in store for us today.
We're looking at a chilly forecast with some serious winter weather on the horizon. Currently, we've got a Wind Advisory and a Winter Storm Watch in effect, so buckle up and stay prepared.
Tonight, expect mostly cloudy skies with temperatures holding steady around 22 degrees. We'll see west southwest winds between 5 to 15 miles per hour, with gusts potentially reaching 30 miles per hour. Pack that extra layer, folks!
Thursday brings mostly sunny conditions, but don't let that sunshine fool you. Temperatures will hover around 18 degrees with breezy west winds between 15 to 25 miles per hour. Gusts could kick up to 45 miles per hour, so secure those trash cans and maybe hold onto your hat!
Thursday night looks mostly clear with temperatures dropping to a crisp 7 degrees. Winds will calm down slightly, ranging from 5 to 10 miles per hour after midnight.
The weekend is where things get interesting. Friday night, we're expecting snow, with accumulations between 1 to 3 inches possible. Saturday? Buckle up for a significant snowfall. We could see 4 to 8 inches of snow, potentially falling heavily at times.
Temperatures will remain cold, with highs barely reaching the low 20s and overnight lows dipping below zero. Sunday and Monday continue the winter theme with mostly sunny skies and temperatures in the low to mid teens.
Looking ahead to next week, we're anticipating continued cold conditions with a slight chance of snow on Monday night.
