Buckle up for a cold snap that'll make you want to hibernate. Overnight temperatures are plunging to around negative 1 degrees Fahrenheit, with wind chill values dropping to a bone-chilling negative 12. We're looking at a northwest wind around 5 miles per hour, so bundle up tight!

Thursday brings a mostly cloudy morning that'll gradually give way to sunshine. The high will struggle to reach a mere 16 degrees Fahrenheit, with wind chill still lingering around negative 12. West northwest winds will be gentle at about 5 miles per hour.

As we roll into Thursday night, expect mostly clear skies and temperatures dipping to negative 2 degrees Fahrenheit. Those west northwest winds will calm down to a whisper.

Friday looks sunny but crisp, with temperatures climbing to a whopping 20 degrees Fahrenheit. South southwest winds will pick up to 5 to 15 miles per hour, keeping that wind chill factor interesting.

The weekend brings some relief. Saturday warms up to a practically tropical 34 degrees Fahrenheit with mostly sunny skies. Sunday gets even better, pushing towards 40 degrees Fahrenheit with a slight chance of rain Sunday night.

By Monday, we might see a few scattered rain showers with temperatures reaching 46 degrees Fahrenheit. Tuesday continues the mild trend, and by Wednesday, we're looking at a 30 percent chance of rain or freezing rain.
