Good morning, Minneapolis! I'm your weather buddy, bringing you the latest forecast that's about to take you on a wild meteorological ride.
Tonight, we're looking at a crisp clear evening with temperatures dipping down to 29 degrees Fahrenheit. Expect a gentle south southeast wind lazily wandering around at about 5 miles per hour.
Monday's bringing some cloud action with temperatures climbing to a pleasant 56 degrees Fahrenheit. That same soft south southeast wind will stick around, keeping things calm.
But hold onto your hats, because Monday night is when things get interesting! We've got a 50 percent chance of rain after midnight, with temperatures dropping to around 44 degrees Fahrenheit and a persistent southeast breeze.
Tuesday is our wet and wild day. Rain is definitely on the menu, with temperatures hovering near 47 degrees Fahrenheit. Winds will start gentle but pick up in the afternoon, potentially gusting up to 30 miles per hour. Expect between a tenth and quarter inch of precipitation.
Then things take a dramatic turn Tuesday night. We're talking snow potentially mixed with rain, transitioning to full snow after 1 am. Temperatures will plummet to 28 degrees Fahrenheit with some seriously blustery north winds reaching up to 40 miles per hour. We might see 1 to 3 inches of snow accumulation.
Wednesday continues the winter drama with snow mainly before noon and patchy blowing snow. Temperatures will struggle to reach 35 degrees Fahrenheit with those persistent north northwest winds.
As we move into Thursday and Friday, we'll see some sunshine breaking through with temperatures climbing to the low 40s, giving us a bit of a winter reprieve.
