Let's break down what Mother Nature has in store for us this holiday week. Bundle up, because we're looking at a chilly start with overnight temperatures dipping down to a frosty 24 degrees. Talk about a white Christmas preview!

Tuesday brings us a cloudy day with temperatures barely climbing to 32 degrees. Winds will be playing it cool, starting calm and then doing a gentle southerly dance at around 5 miles per hour in the afternoon.

Christmas Day itself? More clouds than your grandma's holiday sweater collection, with temperatures reaching a modest 34 degrees. Expect a soft south wind between 5 to 10 miles per hour.

As we roll into Thursday, things get a bit more interesting. We've got a slight 20 percent chance of rain after noon, with temperatures inching up to 38 degrees. Friday cranks up the precipitation potential with a 50 percent chance of rain and temperatures climbing to 40 degrees.

The weekend looks wet and mild, with Saturday offering a 50 percent chance of rain and temperatures hitting around 42 degrees. Sunday teases us with a 20 percent rain chance and some welcome partial sunshine.
