Hey there, weather watchers! It's your favorite meteorologist here with the holiday forecast for Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Ho ho ho, looks like Santa's bringing a chilly Christmas with some sneaky fog! Overnight, temperatures will dip down to around 28 degrees with some patchy fog rolling in between 4 and 5 in the morning. Christmas Day itself will be cloudy and cool, reaching a high of 33 degrees with gentle south southeast winds at 5 to 10 miles per hour.

As we slide into the next few days, things get a bit more moisture-laden. Thursday brings a slight 20 percent chance of rain after noon, with temperatures climbing to a mild 37 degrees. Friday is where things get interesting - we're looking at an 80 percent chance of rain, with potential precipitation between a tenth and quarter of an inch. Temperatures will nudge up to around 41 degrees.

The weekend forecast keeps things consistent with mostly cloudy skies and temperatures hovering in the upper 30s to low 40s. A bit of rain might crash our weekend party, with a 40 percent chance on Saturday.

Next week looks like a carbon copy of cloudy, cool conditions with temperatures struggling to break out of the low to mid 30s.
