Good morning, weather watchers! This is your friendly neighborhood meteorologist bringing you the latest forecast for Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Let's dive right into this winter wonderland we're experiencing. Overnight, we're looking at cloudy skies with temperatures dipping to a chilly 32 degrees Fahrenheit. Expect a gentle south southeast wind around 5 miles per hour - just enough to give you a little winter nip.

Moving into Thursday, we're keeping the cloudy theme going with temperatures climbing to a mild 37 degrees Fahrenheit. Those south southeast winds will be picking up slightly, blowing between 5 to 10 miles per hour.

Thursday night gets a bit more interesting. We've got a 40 percent chance of rain after midnight, with some patchy fog rolling in after 7 pm. Temperatures will hover around 34 degrees Fahrenheit, keeping things just above freezing.

Friday brings more moisture our way. Expect rain starting after noon, with temperatures reaching 41 degrees Fahrenheit. We're looking at about a tenth to a quarter inch of precipitation, so keep those umbrellas handy!

The weekend looks like a mixed bag. Saturday starts cloudy but will gradually clear to mostly sunny, with a high near 41 degrees Fahrenheit. Sunday follows suit with partly sunny conditions and similar temperatures.

As we move into next week, things cool down. Monday will be mostly cloudy with highs around 36 degrees Fahrenheit. Tuesday brings even chillier temperatures, maxing out near 29 degrees Fahrenheit.

New Year's Day continues the cloudy trend with a high of about 25 degrees Fahrenheit. Winter is definitely making its presence known in Minneapolis!
