Good morning, Minneapolis! This is your weather wizard bringing you the chilly scoop for the next few days.
Hold onto your hats, folks, because we've got a fog-tastic situation brewing! A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect, so visibility might be about as clear as a window frosted with grandma's hairspray. Today's high will creep up to a crisp 36 degrees Fahrenheit, with calm winds playing musical chairs before settling in from the north at around 5 miles per hour.
Tonight, we're looking at more cloudy conditions with temperatures dropping to a cool 27 degrees Fahrenheit. Expect a north northwest wind dancing between 5 to 10 miles per hour.
Tuesday brings a temperature rollercoaster, plummeting to around 25 degrees Fahrenheit by late afternoon. Northwest winds will pick up, blowing between 10 to 15 miles per hour - perfect weather for breaking out those extra thick winter layers!
New Year's Day looks like a frosty affair with temperatures barely reaching 21 degrees Fahrenheit. West winds will continue to remind us that winter is definitely not taking a vacation.
As we cruise into the weekend, temperatures will play limbo - how low can they go? We're talking single digits, with a possible sprinkle of snow on Saturday and Sunday. A 20 to 40 percent chance of snowfall means keep those snow shovels ready!
