Today's Weather in Portland 04/15/25: Sunny Skies, Crisp Winds, and a Football Forecast Touchdown

Listen Later

Hey weather warriors! Dustin Breeze here, coming at you with the hottest forecast in Portland! Just like I used to read defensive plays on the football field, I'm about to break down our weather playbook for today.

Let's kick things off with our current conditions - we've got a beautiful morning brewing in Portland! Overnight, we saw mostly clear skies with temperatures dipping down to a crisp 47 degrees. That north northwest wind was playing defense at around 5 miles per hour, keeping things nice and cool.

Today's gonna be a touchdown of a day! We're looking at mostly sunny conditions with temperatures climbing to a sweet 75 degrees. That north northwest wind is gonna stick around, running between 5 to 8 miles per hour - think of it like a smooth offensive line, just keeping things steady.

Now for my Weather Playbook segment - let's talk about something cool: wind chill! Wind chill is basically how the temperature actually feels on your skin when wind is factored in. It's like when you're on the football field and that breeze makes things feel way cooler than the thermometer says. Meteorologically speaking, wind moves heat away from your body faster, making it feel colder than the actual air temperature. Boom! Science play explained!

Three-Day Forecast Blitz:
Tuesday: Mostly sunny, high of 75
Wednesday: Sunny, high of 71
Thursday: Sunny, high of 72

And for all you Portland locals, keep an eye out this weekend. We're looking at some clouds rolling in Sunday, with a slight chance of showers. Might want to keep that umbrella handy!

It's gonna be WIIIIILD out there, folks!
