Good morning, Portland! This is your Weather Wizard bringing you the latest forecast that's more mixed up than a Portland coffee order.
We've got a Winter Storm Warning and Cold Weather Advisory in effect, so buckle up for a wild ride of winter weather. Tonight, we're looking at a chilly dance of rain, freezing rain, and possibly some snow. Temperatures will drop to around 28 degrees Fahrenheit with east northeast winds around 6 miles per hour. Expect a light coating of ice and potentially a half inch of snow and sleet.
Friday brings more winter drama with rain and snow likely before 11 in the morning. The high will reach a mild 42 degrees Fahrenheit, with winds shifting to a gentle south southwest breeze. Snow levels will rise to 2,200 feet in the afternoon.
The weekend continues the wet trend. Saturday will start cloudy with rain rolling in after 4 in the afternoon. Temperatures will climb to a mild 45 degrees Fahrenheit. Sunday keeps the precipitation party going with a 100 percent chance of rain and temperatures reaching near 49 degrees Fahrenheit.
Next week looks like a continuation of our soggy Pacific Northwest special with chances of rain and temperatures hovering in the low 50s.
