Good morning, Portland weather watchers! This is your weekend weather breakdown with all the rainy details you need.
Get ready for a wet and wild ride this weekend! Overnight, we're looking at consistent rain with temperatures dipping to a chilly 43 degrees Fahrenheit. Expect a light east northeast wind and about a tenth to quarter inch of precipitation.
Sunday brings more liquid sunshine with rain continuing throughout the day. Temperatures will climb to near 48 degrees Fahrenheit, with south southwest winds between 6 to 13 miles per hour and potential gusts up to 20 miles per hour. Pack that raincoat because we're talking a quarter to half inch of rainfall.
Sunday night, rain will taper to showers after 2 am, with temperatures falling to around 39 degrees Fahrenheit. The wet theme continues into Monday with likely showers before 4 pm and a high near 47 degrees Fahrenheit.
The rest of the week looks similarly soggy. Tuesday has a 30 percent chance of rain after 4 pm, and New Year's Day will welcome us with more rainfall and temperatures around 48 degrees Fahrenheit.
Looking ahead, Thursday and Friday will continue the precipitation parade with cloudy skies and temperatures hovering around 51 degrees Fahrenheit.
