All consumed by the task list,
It’s always growing, never minimalist.
Will I ever catch up and say “I’m DONE”!
Probably not, as I add more for fun.
Can’t miss out on that thing to read or learn,
Gotta put it down for later, just in case. In turn,
I’m anxious with all the items to do,
Yet adding more helps me get through,
The FOMO I feel when I found some rare gem,
An article, tutorial, some new information.
What if I stopped enterin’ logs to this fire?
Would it really go out, or just cause me to perspire?
The habit is deep and doesn’t seem to end,
How can you be my enemy and my friend?
Now, I’m both the victim and the persecutor,
This triangle’s just missing the rescuer.
I’d rather stick to math, then cosine this drama,
Did I pick this path, did I sign this karma?
I guess, this cunnin’ drum is the beat of life,
From hittin’ high hats, to strikin’ snared-up strife,
I might kick ‘n crash, I might laugh and splash,
Upside, downside, I ride this wave, with or without cash.
Discoverin’ me, I’m taking my time,
Love is in me, impulse to rhyme.
