The central scripture, Proverbs 3:5-6, reminds us to trust in the Lord with all our hearts and not lean on our own understanding. This isn't just about the big decisions; it's about checking in with the Holy Spirit daily, even in the mundane moments. We're confronted with an uncomfortable truth: we often trust unnamed pilots with our physical lives more readily than we trust the God who created us with our spiritual destinies. The message draws from the story of Elijah, who despite his powerful ministry, found himself exhausted and discouraged, hearing God not in the earthquake or fire, but in a still, small voice. We learn that the enemy can't always take us out, so he tries to wear us out. Yet God provides rest, nourishment, and clear direction when we're willing to listen. The journey isn't about having a perfect path, but about having God make our path navigable, removing obstacles—both external circumstances and internal hindrances like pride and impatience—one step at a time. We're called to live the 3-5-6 principle every day of the year: trusting completely, refusing to depend on our limited perspective, and seeking God's will in everything we do.
