On July 8, 1918, artist and avid outdoorsman Tom Thomson took his boat onto Canoe Lake in Algonquin Park, Ontario, to go fishing. His body was found floating in the lake three days later. Other community members saw his boat overturned but waited days to report it. Was his death a tragic accident, or did something more sinister happen?
