Infamous former NBA referee Tim Donaghy used his knowledge of relationships between referees, coaches, players and owners to bet on professional basketball games. In July 2007, reports of an investigation by the (FBI) were made public, which alleged that during the 2005–06 and 2006–07 NBA seasons referee Tim Donaghy bet on games in which he officiated.  Tommy Martino was Tim's childhood friend and partner involved in placing the bets.  Both men were sentenced to prison in 2008.  Here is the inside story of an NBA ref and his childhood friend who got caught up in the fast life.
