It was 60 years ago that a plane crash near Mason City Iowa took the lives of 3 music superstars after a concert in Clear Lake.

For the past 40 years the Surf Ballroom has bee staging tribute shows in honor of the 3, Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, and the Big Bopper- J.P. Richardson.

Part of the entertainment at this years show was the Killer Vees, members of Bobby Vee's family. 

We had a chance to chat with Tommy about the show...and the upcoming show at the Fargo Theatre "Remembering Bobby Vee", which is this Saturday night.
