2 Kings 6:24-25, And it happened after this that Ben-Hadad king of Syria gathered all his army, and went up and besieged Samaria. 25 And there was a great famine in Samaria; and indeed they besieged it until a donkey’s head was sold for eighty shekels of silver, and one-fourth of a kab of dove droppings for five shekels of silver. (NKJV)

 

In this prophetic sermon, we see how there was a besiegement that took place against God’s covenant people. When this happens, there is a spiritual famine, the people had to spend a lot of money for a donkeys head, and dove droppings, foods that do not provide nourishment, the people were being minimally sustained. We see prophetically 4 signs of a spiritual besiegement; 1) God’s people are malnourished, 2) People taking authority that God has not delegated to them, 3) No young people in the church, 4) They reject the prophetic, and their hearts turn against God. But we see that every besiegement, in its season must come to an end, and when it comes to an end, we can face tomorrow and the future! Just around the corner is breakthrough!
