In Proverbs we read that as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he. (Proverbs 23:7) Jesus says that we should not be concerned about what goes into the mouth, but what comes from the mouth. All of this points to the human heart. But we also see that there is a connection between the human heart and the human mind. And so as we grow in Christ, we become aware that we must take every thought and every emotion captive and make it obedient unto Christ.  Wynand explores in this sermon, how we do just that.
