It seems almost perfunctory to go back into the study of the rules governing the practice of tongues and prophecy, especially if your church does not teach that the biblical forms of these gifts are observable today. And yet, the opposite is true. This is because Paul never treats an issue merely on its own merits. He always uses issues to teach us important underlying principles.
