The toothed whales are smaller in size than baleen whales, but they make up for it in another way. Their intelligence. Toothed whales are incredibly smart, and some species even have their own language. These very social creatures are usually found in groups, or pods.  Their social activity coupled with the fact that they use echolocation to discover their environment helps them thrive in the most of the world's oceans, rivers, lakes, and seas. Their widely diverse whale family and even wider range make the toothed whales the largest family of whales.
