For instance, you can either be loving or legalistic. You can be full of truth or full of grace, but what the ten commandments teach us is that rules enable relationships. God is going to give 10 commands to strengthen our faith; give us life-giving relationships with Him & others; and to make us realize we will always fall short of the law & need a relationship with Jesus. For believers, obedience to these commands always leads in the sanctification process.
