Top Startup Investors Q&A

Listen Later

One of the best ways to improve your chances of landing funding for your business is to learn directly from startup investors how they go about making investment decisions.

Today I wanted to share with you two different startup investors and how they answer various questions about the startup industry.

First up we have Jess Lee, who is one of the startup investors at Sequoia Capital and startup founder herself.

Ms. Lee answered quite a few questions. You can see the full session here. Of those I decided to share and comment on the following:

  • Post-crypto rush, what are the next trends in investment to watch for?
  • What made you want to become an investor?
  • What's the most common start-up failure problem?

One of the other startup investors whose session I shared is Keith Rabois. Keith is a General Partner at the Founders Fund. You can see his full session here. Keith also fielded multiple questions. I talked about:

  • What is your advice for startup CEOs?
  • What do you look for in an investment? You can also find my own criteria here, in my book title "What investors look for in a startup".
  • What has been your biggest mistake and lesson learned from it?
  • Post-crypto rush, what are the next trends in investment to watch for?
