When I first started running I didn't care as much about the speed as I did about the distance, I just wanted to be able to run from start to finish whether it was 2 miles, 4 miles and sometimes even 8 miles my goal was to finish it without walking, but at a certain point the distance wasn't enough for me and I wanted to do it fast, not just faster, as fast as I possibly could regardless of the distance.
