Rabeinu teaches us that the essence of teshuva-returning to G-d, means to return the thing from the place which it was taken from. That “place” we are referring to is wisdom.

Rabeinu goes on to explain that the only true wisdom is holy wisdom, wisdom of G-dliness where as foreign wisdoms and philosophies are worthless and not considered wisdom at all. A person must safeguard his mind from falling into these foreign intellects.

Rabeinu also delves into the subjects of: renewing the mind/soul, spiritual and physical sleep, faith, conducting business with faith, safeguarding faith, bringing sacrifices, the chashmal, Rosh Hashana etc…
