Rabeinu gave this lesson shortly after the passing of his son Shlomo Efraim, who Rabeinu hinted to being the mashiach of the generation. Rabeinu in this most sublime lesson speaks about a field which has the most beautiful trees and herbs which grow in it-this represents the souls. But there’s a master of the field which tends to the field making sure everything in the field has what it needs- this is the unique tzadik who’s charged with rectifying all the souls and bringing them to their tachlit/purpose.

Rabeinu connects these sublime ideas to making prayer ONE complete whole from beginning to end, escaping suffering through attaching ourselves to the tachlit, nullification, shutting our eyes, the renewal of the Torah, simcha/joy, etc…
