When a person steals someone’s money, he is actually stealing this man’s children…

Rabeinu teaches us that the money a man earns is actually drawn from the shining light of his wife’s soul- the tree is the woman, the branches are the money, and the fruits are the children. When you steal a person’s money, what you’re essentially doing is stealing this man’s branches (money) through which these children are dependent upon. (Rabeinu goes into detail about all the variables and things that can happen. And how thievery can also be done in thought, through coveting.)
