Joining David and Michael in the Capital.com studio this week's Talking Markets is esteemed entrepreneur and philanthropist, Lord Michael Spencer of Alresford who will be discussing the general election, Brexit, and UK growth.

He is one of the UK’s most successful entrepreneurs. He founded Intercapital in 1986, a firm which soon became one of the world's largest inter-dealer brokers.

In 1998, Intercapital merged with EXCO, and a year later with Garban plc, forming ICAP – with Michael as CEO. ICAP joined the FTSE 100 in 2006, and in 2016 sold its hybrid voice broking business. This led to the formation of NEX Group, again with Michael as CEO. In 2018, CME Group acquired NEX, and Michael became a director and Special Adviser at CME.
