Welcome to a new edition of the Neon Jazz interview series with Toronto-based Jazz Saxophonist, Composer, Producer & Band Leader Scott Marshall .. We caught up with him about his new 2024 CD The Solitude Suite and his life in music. This is his sixth album of original music that was written for a unique chord-less configuration of Canadian jazz icons .. Along with the recording, Scott has had the opportunity to perform in Dubai UAE, Germany, Sweden, England, the United States, as well as coast to coast across Canada. Scott has band led several of his own ensembles and has performed with a lengthy and diverse list of accomplished musicians like Norah Jones, Johnny Mathus, The Temptations, The Four Tops, The Rascals, Marie Osmond and so many others .. The light clicked on at 17 after he saw Miles Davis live and he’s been after it every since. Dig this story…
