Sorry 4 What is the Brampton, Canada Tory Lanez’s seventh studio album following his December 2021, Alone at Prom.

The project was first teased on August 8, 2022, when Tory uploaded a poll to his Twitter, asking fans what the project should be called, 51.5% of over 12,000 voters picked the title Sorry 4 What.

Hinting the project several times throughout August, on September 16, 2022, Tory announced the project, alongside noting it’s an eighteen-song album:

Contrasting to Tory’s previous album, Alone at Prom, an 80’s capsule project enhanced by a dancey-up-beat vibe, Sorry 4 What is expected to bring sorrowful love songs, both in and not in favor of love.

The album’s lead single, “Why Did I,” was released on September 23, 2022. This was followed by the album being set for pre-save, previewing the album’s tracklist.
